Just seven days after becoming a Master Mason, I traded my new apron for a race card and headed to Windsor Racecourse.
The event marked the Tercentenary of English Freemasonry, a massive joint celebration hosted by the Provinces of Bucks, Berks, and Oxon. It was a day that proved Freemasonry is a family affair. Between the horse racing, the gourmet food, and the funfair rides for the kids, the vibe was electric.
And here is the list of the races:
14:10 Berks, Bucks & Oxon Masonic 300YR Celebration Handicap
14:40 Masonic Charitable Foundation Handicap
15:10 Berks, Bucks & Oxon Royal Arch Freemasons’ Maiden Stakes
15:40 Grand Master’s Golden Jubilee Handicap
16:15 United Grand Lodge Of England Tercentenary Sprint Handicap
16:45 Royal Arch Freemasons’ Celebration Handicap
17:20 Mark Masons Celebration Handicap
The day culminated in a fantastic set by Tony Hadley, bringing the house (or rather, the racecourse) down with his classic hits.
